Agra: Video of stray dogs roaming in Agra hospital goes viral

AGRA: A shocking video of stray dogs moving around in the general ward of the district women hospital in Agra went viral on social media on Monday. A patient said, “It’s a scary seeing dogs coming close to you in the night, putting even newborn at risk”.
“Dogs are a source of infection for patients, especially newly born children, but the staff here is least bothered,” said a patient’s attendant whose daughter delivered a male child on Friday.
Dr Asha Sharma, superintendent incharge of district women hospital, said that they are aware of the issue of dogs entering the hospital premises. She said, “Hospital’s boundary wall is under construction and dogs enter the premises through there." She said immediate steps are being taken to resolve the issue.
